I was finally able to get through the rest of the photo's from our Harbour Island adventure. Unfortunately, most of the pictures didn't turn out near as well as I had hoped but I guess that's just how it goes sometimes. Below are a few with a link to see the rest of them if you like.
Curt's birthday dinner
Bill, John, Mary, Curt, Renan, Jeanne & Jack
Sometimes doing nothing is just what a person needs. LOL
I went for a walk down the road that went past the vacation house.
Flowers are in continuous bloom on the island.
This bird would come in in the mornings for a drink. He never stayed long - just needed a drink.
Everything comes to the island via ship. The boat arrives on Wednesday with the locals unloading it on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Stores are then re-stocked on Thursdays and Friday's. By Monday store shelves are getting pretty bare, by Tuesday the shelves are R-E-A-L-L-Y bare.
This tree is famous to Harbour Island.
When the last hurricane came through and destroyed it, the locals found another one to replace it.
It sits on the flat providing incredible photo ops with sunsets. (Although, I never made it down to the flat at sunset.)
The sunsets were absolutely breath taking.
Rooster. The international symbol of Harbour Island.
Even the roosters are on island time.....never did I hear one at day break, it was always closer to 9:30-10:00.
Our rental car.
Everyone drives golf carts on the island. Thankfully ours had a feather helping us to keep straight just which one was ours.
All the pictures from this post are from my good camera, the reason many didn't turn out well. I tried to shoot all on manuel mode and I think I over thought it all. I guess that's how a person learns though. If you would like to see the rest of them, just click on the link below.
Cheers!
Looks like an awesome vacation!
