Last night I went to the local Safari Club dinner and fundraising auction in Rapid City. Now, Bill is at work, and I just had no intention of going, but he talked me into checking with some friends to see if they were going to go and if I could tag along. Well, they were, and, I did.
Africa was never a spot on my bucket list of places to go; all the time that Bill worked in north Africa he talked about me going over and meeting him on the coast so he could show the coast line to me. I just never had any interest.
Well, at Safari Club last night, I just bought my THIRD (count them third!) Africa adventure for pennies on the dollar!!!!!!!!!! This time, I got a 4 day hunt for 2 hunters, 2 non-hunting companions for 2 gemsbock's. And it includes the trophy fees for both animals! Not to mention the transfer from the airport out to the camp! REALLY?!?!?!??!??!? You seriously cannot go to Disneyland for what this the cheap-skate is buying this stuff for!
After I got done doing the happy dance, some guy came up to me and asked me if I was going to go along on this hunt. What???? OBVIOUSLY you DON'T know me! Of course I am going on this hunt. And not only am I going on this hunt, but I just might accidentally shoot Bill's trophy! You moron! Of course I am going and am going to hunt!
Conveniently, we shouldn't have any trouble co-ordinating this trip with the fishing adventure I just "stole", so I'm pretty much floating on air looking forward to not a only tiger fish trip but an African hunt also! Who'd a thunk this? Me? Hunting in Africa? Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you think if I asked these organizations to try to secure adventures to Alaska or Australia they would? Or do you think they would tell me they hate me and don't want me attending their fundraisers and continuing to "steal" their stuff!
