The Bachelors

Don't these boys look tasty? Too bad turkey permits are by draw only. Guess none of us will be turkey hunting this season.

Wyoming Fall Colors

Of course fall was in the air while in Grouse Camp. After all, it was the end of September.

Grouse Season

Unfortunately Bill couldn't join me, but grouse hunting was a blast! (Literally) Some friends of ours put in a full camp and were generous to let me stay in the "Guest Quarters" - a genuine Wyoming Sheep Wagon. In my years of camp cooking, I certainly camped in some pretty luxurious conditions, but the Sheep Wagon was ten times that of Summer Camp, and right up there with Hunting Camp. Had I had the forethought to take the camp shower......Well, who needs a high priced hotel room? Camp was complete with to fantastic bird dogs.

Bill dog pointed these two birds out almost instantly!

Little Joe was the star Sunday morning!

Total take by me was 5 birds; only missing my limit on one morning hunt. My fault, not the dogs; I was on a bird but it wouldn't fly and by the time it finally flushed, I wasn't ready. Oh well. The dogs had a great hunt!

Thanks for a great weekend Guys!

Uhhh.....Patience please

OK.....so I'm brand new at this blogging thing, but hopefully all will have patience with me while I try to get it figured out.

With this new adventure (blogging) that I'm jumping both feet into, maybe I can better keep everyone informed of what we are up to.
