A Moment to Remember

In today's world of tromping on our flag, disrespect to military, police - any public servant really, it is even more important to take a moment and remember the Sentinels that made the ultimate sacrifice not only for our country but those that choose to disrespect her so.

Enjoy today's holiday, but remember the reason behind the day.

An Overnight Visitor

Regretfully, miles add up between family members - it's just a simple fact of life today.

Last week, our grand-son's Dad called to say he and his wife would be coming through the area and wanted to know if Reed could come for a visit.....Wow!  Yes!  Unfortunately, it's been several years since we have seen Reed, let alone be able to hang with him.  Sure was nice of Andy and Melissa to bring him over.

Thanks for comin' over, Bud.  You're far more like your Grandpa than you probably ever realized.

West Virgina and Ohio

Seems like it has been forever since we have seen Bill's sister Suzie or his Cousin Charlie and family.  Seems like it, because it has.  We were able to get away for a few days and make the drive out; through horribly torrential rain.  Doesn't matter.  We made it.

We probably shouldn't let life get in the way so much and ensure we all make the trip more often.
