Cayleigh's Visit

Chuck's (Bill's son) youngest daughter Cayleigh was able to come out earlier this month and spend some time with us.  What a blast we had!  She was only here for 1 week so we packed in as much as we possibly could in those seven days.  She is such a cool kid!  We are so looking forward to her next visit....hoping it's a little longer so we don't have to pack so much into such a short time.  We were both pretty tired from keeping up with a 15 year old.

There are a lot of pictures in this post, sorry.  I really did try to put them in order, but finally gave up.

Sturgis Harley Dealership a couple days before official bike week kick-off.
Casey found a new best friend!

Yes, we took her to the Hell's Angel's Information Booth....Think she'd look good in HA Red?

Sight seeing......

The bug Cayleigh caught (on Grandpa's shoe) she took with us camping.
Unfortunately, the fish didn't want it.  Bummer!

Ladies and Gentleman.....she will be driving soon!

Camp.

Our last morning Cayleigh started slaughtering the fish!
We turned all of them back so they can grow up for her to catch next year.

When Grandpa was in the shower, we got out the Henry Golden Boy .22
Pretty dog gone good shot for the first time ever!

Grandpa and Cayleigh at "Hole In the Wall" on Needles Hwy.
No, not the famous Butch Cassidy one!

The top of Needles Hwy.
Notice the one lane tunnel.  We met a motor home that had gone through this tunnel.....Brave.

There she goes again!

Bill and Casey in camp.

Let's just call her "Annie Oakley.....Miss Sure Shot!"

Grandpa said if she's gonna wear his hat, she has to dress like him!

Had to hit Sturgis during official bike week!

A modern day Indian Cycle.

Yes, I took her to the
Pabst Blue Ribbon White Trash Tattoo Tent!  (Say that 3 times fast!)
Notice the population sign........Sturgis was expecting 750,000 people for Rally this year!

The Broken Spoke Campground hosted a replica of the Vietnam Wall.

Cayleigh, Grandpa and Casey at Roughlock Falls, Spearfish Canyon.

Connie, Cayleigh and Casey at Spearfish Falls, Spearfish Canyon.
Cayleigh says, "I am royalty, you know!"

Cayleigh practicing cheer posses.

More Annie Oakley action!
Ruger .22 semi-auto on the left, S&W .38 Airweight w/snake shot on the left.

Notice the target on the left and how much tighter the group on the right....
Pretty awesome shootin' when we figured out she is left eye dominate!
GREAT shootin' Cayleigh!  (More .22 Henry action here.)

I think Grandpa is pretty proud....what do you think?

Miss Speed Demon on the 4 Wheeler!

We took Cayleigh up to meet the neighbors dog Diamond....
180 pound Great Dane!

Cayleigh said she wanted to see a South Dakota sunrise.
She decided to go back to bed after seeing it.

Mount Rushmore in the background.
Taken from the over look on Iron Mountain Road.

We missed pictures of Cayleigh kayaking and the turtle she caught down in the pond here in the subdivision, but I think we pretty much got everything else covered!  Sight seeing, Rally, camping, fishing, boating, kayaking, more Rally, 4 Wheeling, shooting, Rally culture.....Wow!  What a week!  Tons of fun and can't wait for her next visit!  Sure wish all the kids, grand-kids, nieces, nephews and great nieces/nephews were closer so we could do this with all of them all the time!  They just all need to come visit!

Happy Anniversary!

11 years ago today I married my best friend and soul mate......Thanks to all who shared our day with us!  And thanks to all who have shared life with us!  About the only thing I remember from the ceremony itself was the minister saying, "May you look back on today and it be the least happy day of your life."  It's true.....life just keeps getting better and better!  Stay tuned for the next 11 years and beyond of this life called "The Great Adventures of Bill and Connie"!

Happy Anniversary, Mr. Bill!
I love you!
P.S.  Life IS good!!!!!!!!!
