Sunset 4/27/10

Last night I was out chasing turkeys......yes, chasing, that is all I got done. I couldn't be in the right spot at the right time to save my life. However, on the drive home, I was in the right spot for a couple of nice sunset shots.

The sun casting a glow over Bear Butte, just east of here.

The sun setting over the hills, opposite of Bear Butte.

And one last stop on the way home.  Pretty shades over the hills and a hay pasture last night.

The Finished Product

The door guys showed up a day early.  (I'm telling you.....I LIKE South Dakota contractors!)  The finished product looks really nice.  Now that I've looked at the doors white for a couple of days, I'm not sure I want to paint them green to match the roof.  LOL

I got to be the first one to drive over the threshold and park something in the shop!  (Yes, this is a naner, naner, naner!  Our friend Charlie has been here turkey hunting with me and took pictures for me.

Maybe Bill will get to use the shop!  There is so much fill in the one corner that we will have to wait a bit before we pour the floor to avoid cracked concrete.  In the mean time, I might just take over the shop and park all my equipment in it!  Just kidding!  or am I?!?!?!?

Gun Rack

Bill built a "Sheriff's Gun Rack" while he was home this last hitch.  He is really enjoying having a place to have his "table saw from hell" and make all these projects he's talked about doing.

Cabinet is built and being stained.

More staining action happening.

Adding the "slots" to hold the firearms in place.

And signing the finished product!

He built the cabinet with room to spare.....
I think he's trying to send me a subliminal message!

They turned out REALLY good!  Please come visit to see the finished product in person.

Life IS Good!!!

Just came in from spending a little time on the front deck this evening.  It's trying to turn spring here!  Had myself a little "check out" sitting on the deck listening to the crickets chirp and the frogs croak.  Can't forget the two different groups of turkeys calling (and maybe the neighbor a time or two along with myself practicing a little also), all while watching the deer graze the hillsides.

Sure am appreciative of the life the Mr. provides for us.  Hopefully soon he'll be able to spend more time here rather than working and get to enjoy it as much as I do.

I think I need some of those "Life Is Good" t-shirts,
'cause life IS good.
