B1 Flyer Over

This past Friday, our local Airbase, Ellsworth Air Base conducted fly-overs as part of a scheduled training mission and to honor the front line workers during this COVID-19 pandemic.  

I knew they planned to come from the West, but I wasn't sure exactly what the flight path was.  Bill and I headed to the Historic Ft. Meade Cemetary for what I thought would be an opportune spot....  The planes flying right over the historic Ft. Meade buildings with Bear Butte in the background.  Great shot I had planned.  It didn't quite work the way I had envisioned.  

What I DID capture, however, was the two aircraft along with the flag waving in the breeze.  A patriotic site, for sure.  

A Little Kayaking

Not sure what the rich folk were doing yesterday, but this poor folk was having a fantastic day!  Kalisha and I had some much needed "sister" time relaxing together on the lake and catching back up on life.  Life. Is. Good.

Friends here visiting for a pre-rally experience.  A day riding the Hills.  Fantastic conversation on the deck last night.  A visitor stopped in for a snack.  A beautiful sight to wake up to this morning.  Yes.  Life. Is. G.R.A.N.D.

Husband Appreciation Day

Well, I appreciate Bill everyday and I'm one lucky girl I get to call him my husband.  This one of my favorite photos I've taken of him, even though there are so many things technically wrong with it, I feel like it captures "him".

Friends for years before we ever started dating....  The smartest thing I ever did was answer that one question with, "Some day, yes I will!"  💕💕💕  And the "yes" will be 20 years ago this August!  😲😲😲😲

Cacti

We've moved south of Lake Corpus Christi for a few days.  This is a more dry but more humid climate as we are a bit closer to the coast.  Even after the few years we have been wintering in the South, I'm still amazed at how palm trees and cactus co-exist.  

We arrived in time to see the large cacti in bloom, and in bloom they are.
