Our friends Curt and Renan from Pinedale called almost a year ago to ask if we could help them a "problem". Of course we said yes, prior to knowing what the problem was, and were assuming they were needing some help in the oil field. Turns out the "problem" was Curt turned 40 last month and decided rather than having a mid-life crisis, he wanted to go on vacation with some friends. Now this is a problem I am ALWAYS up for helping solve! So being the friends we are, we just couldn't say no, and found ourselves on Harbour Island in the Bahama's for a week helping to ring in Curt's 40th. Now this is my idea of a mid-life crisis!
Renan wrestling with the umbrella from her "fru fru" drink in the pool.
Harbour Island is famous for it's pink sand beach. Along with the crystal clear turquoise waters, it was breath taking. I've never seen such distinct colors before.
The Mr. on the beach, and my foot prints in the sand. Bill was taking a "rest" while I went for a long walk on the beach. It was needed after being in flight for long.
The house we stayed in. Thanks Curt and Renan!
Me with my bone fish and master cast instructor Bone fish Patrick.
Fish on! Patrick figured Bill's fish was about 5 pounds, a very large bone fish, but when it was about 20 feet from him, it got off. Patrick was so disappointed, he ran across the flat chasing it!
These are just a sampling of the pictures I took. All of these pictures in this post and associated with this post were taken with a new pocket underwater camera I just purchased and was learning how to use on the trip. You can see the rest of the pictures taken with this camera on my picasa sight at
