I don't think this truck was actually "stuck", just needed a little help getting started. I was laughing when they were hooking up to the mini track hoe. Glad they couldn't hear me!
Day two was C-O-L-D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt bad for them, especially the kid on the thumper. The Sheriff only showed up twice this day. Apparently one of the neighbors was snivel whining about material being on the big hill coming into the subdivision. Duh.......Have to do something with a jack-knifed semi. It may have been bright and sunny, but the wind was blowing, it was raw, and it was C-O-L-D! The coffee fairy made a much appreciated appearance.

This would be the semi that went down the hill backwards. He got stuck on the hill again late (after 7pm) on day two.
They're still hauling fill.
Jeff was the kids name on the skid steer. He was funny. He just made that skid steer dance! Zoom, Zoom!

These guys hauled and moved dirt late the 2nd day. They had to move the mini over to the pit to dig the fill as it was frozen. Their plan was to have all the fill in and all the equipment back here at the end of the 2nd day and by golly they got 'er done. It was just after 10 when they left the house and the silly boys didn't even come in for coffee refills and snacks.
Day 3 was hauling gravel, leveling and installing the culvert. Jeff ran the mini and Ryan 2 got to get off the thumper and run the skid steer. I'm sure after two days of being on the thumper he was ready to do something else.

Ryan 2 didn't get to run the skid steer all day; he got to get back on the thumper once all the gravel was hauled and boss Ryan was available to run equipment. Ryan ran the mini, Jeff stayed on the skid steer. They didn't get enough culvert, so Jeff got to connect an extra 10' piece to the original 20' one.
Again they worked after dark the third day. They wanted to get done, and not have to come back out. This is boss Ryan tidying up the back corner.
About 6:30 Ryan came in to tell me they were all finished up and just finishing loading. This was a great crew and they can come work for us anytime!

The finished product!
There is 9' of fill on this corner!
A total of 426 yards of fill came in, 30' of culvert, and over a 100 yards of gravel. They showed up when they said they would, they worked hard, they worked late. They had smiles on their faces the whole time - even when it was so cold it hurt to smile! Don't know that I have ever seen a building pad look this good! When ever we have a dirt project to be done, we'll save our money long enough to make sure we can get Ryan and his crew back. Far more than I can say about any contractor in Pinedale, WY!
